TheZone Receipt — Customer Data Use Agreement

Official language

These Agreements are written in English. The English version is the sole official, controlling, and legally binding text.

Any translation into another language is provided only to help you understand the Agreements. Translations may be incomplete or updated later than the English text.

If there is any conflict, inconsistency, or different interpretation between a translation and the English version, the English version prevails.

1. Purpose

This Customer Data Use Agreement ("Data Use Agreement") supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Thezone POS & Payments Inc. ("TheZone") for TheZone Receipt. It describes how you authorize us to handle receipt-related customer and business data you submit.

2. Data you provide

By uploading or emailing receipts, you submit images and metadata that may contain personal and commercial information, including merchant names, transaction dates, amounts, tax identifiers, partial payment card or account references, addresses, and names of staff or customers visible on documents.

3. Your authorization

You represent and agree that:

• You have the legal right to collect and upload the receipts for expense or business record purposes.
• You have informed employees or agents (if any) whose data appears on receipts, where required by law.
• You instruct TheZone to store, OCR, classify, and display this data to you and users you authorize on your account.

4. Processing activities

TheZone may perform the following on your data:

• Store encrypted or access-controlled copies in cloud infrastructure.
• Run OCR, validation, tax reconciliation, duplicate detection, and optional AI-assisted reads.
• Generate reports and exports you request.
• Retain merchant aliases and categories you confirm to improve future matching for your account.

5. No sale of your receipt content

We do not sell your receipt images or parsed ledger content to data brokers. Service providers process data only to operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Your verification duty

Automated processing is not a substitute for human review. You remain responsible for confirming amounts, taxes, and categories before using exports for tax filings, audits, or financial statements. Items in review or pending confirmation are not certified by TheZone as accurate.

7. Withdrawal

You may stop using the Service and request deletion subject to the Privacy Policy. Withdrawal of this authorization requires ceasing use and may require account closure; historical backups may persist for a limited time.
